Zabbix 6.4.1rc2: New Features and Improvements

Zabbix 6.4.1rc2 introduces several new features and improvements, including increased support for TimescaleDB and MariaDB, API token authentication, expanded functionality for the JavaScript engine, and additional metrics for Zabbix server health templates. Users will also find added support for sysdba, sysasm, and sysoper login options in the Zabbix agent 2 Oracle plugin, along with updates to the Oracle by Zabbix agent 2 template documentation.

Moreover, the new version enhances the Azure template with storage account support and improves connector diagnostic information reporting.

These enhancements make Zabbix more versatile and capable of handling various monitoring tasks and integrations.

Zabbix 6.4.1rc2: Bug Fixes

The Zabbix 6.4.1rc2 release addresses numerous bugs, improving the overall stability and security of the system. Fixes include unauthorized file system access when using cURL, resolving issues with updating dependent items inherited from templates, and fixing database upgrade problems when running multiple Zabbix servers on a single database.

Other notable bug fixes involve optimizing preprocessing in various templates, such as ClickHouse by HTTP, Nginx Plus by HTTP, Redis by Zabbix agent 2, and HAProxy HTTP/agent templates. Additionally, the release tackles issues related to user roles, audit logs, web scenario editing, value mapping, and more.

Some user interface bugs have also been addressed, such as fixing the positioning of debug information on dashboards, scrollbar issues on Graph widgets, and the navigation tree collapsing after a page refresh. Furthermore, multiple issues related to import and export, navigation, and graph color updates have been resolved.

The release also includes fixes related to Zabbix agent 2, such as removing the syslog LogType from the config file for Windows and addressing a race condition when starting the agent with loadable plugins.
